Happy Birthday To Us! (2018 Edition)

Birthday 2018 Edition

As always, I was on leave on my birthday so I went home to Baguio on the night of March 22.

Most parts of Baguio had a scheduled brownout on my birthday! The sad thing was that, I was not able to charge my phones before the brownout which started around 7:30 AM! The sadder thing was that it extended to 2 days and 1 night, instead of the original schedule which was just whole day of Friday. Nakakaloka ang walang charged phone hahahahaha. I think I can live with it naman. Medyo wrong timing lang because I had plans over the weekend and of course we rely on our phones these days for faster communication.

Anyway, going back.

Afternoon of March 23 was pamper myself hours. After that, I went to Starbucks to do some work, and charge my phones while waiting for the BF.

We went to Forest House as always, because of our free birthday cake hahahaha! It was a joint birthday celebration bilang March 23 ako and March 24 sya. It was just a quick dinner and we went home after. It’s a little frustrating because we cannot take too many pictures because we were both conserving our batteries. But other than that, it was still a good night of celebration.

We’ll see where we’ll be next year. Gosh, first birthday celebration na namin yun bilang mag-asawa nyahahaha!

Thank you Lord for blessing us with another year to enjoy Your gift of life. We are forever grateful!

P.S. Napasearch ako sa 2016 pictures namin. Ang awkward pa namin noon since less than a year pa lang kami and I was not really openly posting about us then. But for documentation purposes, I’ll post some of our 2016 pictures too! Hahahaha.

2018 Week 11: Ninang Duties | S&R Sale

March 12-18, 2018

First, happy birthday in heaven, Daddy! I miss you and Mama everyday! (March 20, 2018)

And for the updates…

It’s that time of the year again for the most awaited S&R sale. I did not physically go but I have enabler friends hehehe. I asked her to pick up some snacks, chocolates, honey citron tea and conditioner for me. I had to stop myself from buying all the things on sale. Bawal umiyak ang wallet.

HoneyCitronTea

↑Honey Citron Tea which I have yet to try. I learned about this from Mommy Fleur hehe.

↑Isingit ko lang ito. Not from S&R but a teammate shared it to us and it is so good! I need more of this!!!!

I went home last weekend for the thanksgiving celebration of my friend and her family. I tagged along my nieces. I had the permission to do so.

First, celebration for the baptism of her kids. I am a godmother to her last child. The church is in Rosario La Union and the celebration is at their residence at Camp 3, Kennon Road. They have a strategic location because it’s just 30-40 minutes away from both Baguio and La Union.

It was also their 10th wedding anniversary last March 14. One decade of staying married is surely something worth celebrating.

Lastly, it was her birthday last March 16 so another reason to celebrate.

We left their home early afternoon. My other friend and her hubby dropped us off in town so my nieces and I went to SM to window shop. I was able to buy new curtains that match the new paint in my room. It’s in light gray.

We also had early dinner before heading home. I slept early on Saturday night because I barely slept during my trip home and we had to leave early that morning. I woke up after 9 hours. Sarap.

On Sunday afternoon, I stayed in Starbucks SM to work for a while while waiting for the BF to finish his work and meet up with me. We just had dinner and then went to the terminal to wait some more for my 10PM trip.

↑Goofing around at the terminal while waiting for my trip. We spent a few minutes listing down our potential entourage and potential principal sponsors. I’ll write dedicated posts for anything wedding-related.

The end.

Have a great week ahead. As for me, I can’t wait to go home again on Thursday night hehehehe.

2017 Week 39: Weekend in Baguio

September 25-October 1, 2017

I went home to Baguio last Friday, September 29, after shift. I did not have any specific agenda but since my friend was also in town for the weekend, we planned to meet up for some food trip. BOOM! Hehe. And so, off to food trip on Saturday.

I brought with me my nieces para mas masaya kahit ang kulit-kulit ng bulilit.

First stop. Arca’s Yard. I’ve heard about this place a long time ago but didn’t get the chance to visit it sooner hehe.

It is one of those old houses converted to a restaurant.

After lunch, we went to SM Baguio to buy some stuff and look around. My niece rode the carousel.

Our high school guidance counselor saw us and we were so surprised she still remembers our names! We had a good time exchanging stories that lasted for almost an hour.

Next pit stop for dinner was Oh My Gulay (OMG). OMG is a vegetarian restaurant and an art space in one.

We called it a night after dinner.

On Sunday, my sisters and our auntie went to visit another aunt who is sick. She has been to the ICU in September but is miraculously out, alive and kicking. She stays in bed most of the time but is still strong, can still eat and walk a bit with some assistance. Apart from the medicines, I think it’s her willpower to live that she’s still strong despite being sick.

I went back to Manila on Sunday night, after a quick dinner with the BF. He was sick and can’t stay longer so he went home right after dinner. Hay isa pa tong mamang ‘to.

Pictures!

↑With my bodyguards…ay dabarkads  😀

↑Selfie pa more.

↑Arca’s Cloud tea. Ang sarap! With cream and honey.

↑Pumpkin soup. A little sweet. I’ll try to make this. Mahal lang kasi ang pumpkin hahaha.

↑Pesto pasta. Yummy!

↑Longganisa meal for the kiddo. Ubos nya yan. Big gutom ang growing kid.

↑Banana split for the teenager! Ito lang talaga order nya!

↑Their famous camote pie and what’s left of it before we remembered to take a picture! Hahaha!

↑My food trip buddies.

↑Igorot gongs. I wonder how much these cost now.

↑They also have an area for these padlocks.

↑The sisters.

↑Aba, nawiwili ang isang ‘to dito ah. No na next time.

↑The one in the middle was our Guidance Counselor in High School. And she still remembers our complete names hahaha! Tinawag talaga kami sa complete names namin nung nakita kami kaloka hahaha!

↑Pancit gulay ni pepe. They really have catchy names on their menu hehe.

IMG_20170930_203202

↑We were there at night and it was quite crowded because there was an exhibit so it was hard to take pictures of the whole place.

IMG_20170930_192157

↑Dinner buddies. The guy is my brother. Natunugang lumalamon kami somewhere so hinanap kami hahahaha. Hindi pa expert ang shy na teenager.

IMG_20171001_085020

↑Sunday with my eldest sister, our nieces, and our grandchild. Kamusta naman ang mga lola hahahaha.

IMG_20171001_085215

↑Maiiwan ang mga bata dahil adulting ang mga adults aka we were visiting a sick relative that day.

↑My 2 sisters and our auntie (mom’s sister). Breakfast first at Jack’s Restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in Baguio because of its affordable meals. And no, we did not plan our color-coordinated outfits hehehe.

Naabutan na itong pang week 40 ng another weekend, hence, happy weekend hehehehe.

The end.
