Daddy’s Birthday

Today is Daddy’s 69th birthday. I’m happy that he is still with us until now. He may have his short comings but for me, he is still the greatest dad. He has been with us during our school days. He helps us with our projects and assignments. He stays with us at the times that we have to stay up until late at night for our project and reviews. In high school, he was the one attending the PTA meetings. For all of that and more, he deserves the title.

I wish him longer and healthier life. I want him to be my escort when I march down the aisle on my wedding day. So he has to be there. 🙂

On Saturday, we will be performing a ritual (I’m not sure of what the ritual would be but it’s something that Igorots practice) for him. This will also serve as his birthday celebration.

Baby Ysa’s Christening

Baby Ysa, Weng and Fides’ baby girl was baptized last Jan. 21, 2007 at the Hearts of Jesus and Mary (the very same church where they got married). The reception was at Shangri-La Finest Cuisine. It was another time where officemates and ex-officemates were able to bond. Anne and I were late for the ceremony because I woke up very late. Blame it on the issue at work last Friday which forced me to stay until 5 am of Saturday. :p

Waking up to a cool Antipolo morning

We spent the night at Loreland Resort to celebrate Raquel’s birthday. We ate, swam, had some wine, and sang to our heart’s content. At around 4 AM, we decided to sleep for a few hours. We woke up at around 6:30 am and were greeted by the cool breeze of Antipolo. It was just great. It felt like I woke up in Baguio but then of course, upon seeing my surroundings, I knew I was not at home. We had breakfast, toured the surroundings, stayed at the swing for a few minutes exchanging stories about people we know. It was indeed bonding time with my friend and cousin plus a break from the hectic days in the office. At around 8:30 am, we had to leave coz the night package that we availed has officially ended at 8:00 am.

Herbert Aldrich’s christening

Yesterday, we also went to San Pablo Laguna for Herbert Aldrich’s (Bhert’s son) christening. I was with my officemates and ex officemates. The food was great and yummy. We left at around 4pm. From there, I went home, prepared my things for the overnight and headed straight to Antipolo.
