2018 Week 1: Happy New Year!

January 1-7, 2018

Happy New Year!!!! I hope your first week of 2018 was great!

I did not have any plans on January 1 but few days before New Year, an uncle asked our plans, and so instant January 1 lunch invite to all the uncles and aunties on Mama’s side hehe.

I forgot to take a picture of our pang fiestang handa sayang.

↑Eye to eye with the newest member of our extended family. Such a cute baby! Tapos umiyak sya after a few minutes na hawak ko hahahahaha!

I was on leave on January 2 so I spent most of the time cleaning the house and dismantling the Christmas tree. I did it before leaving for Manila kasi baka nakatayo pa yun sa next na uwi ko nyahahaha.

I traveled back to Manila in the early evening.

And it was back to work on January 3 but I was already waiting for the weekend to come nyahahahaha!

I spent Saturday reading a romance novel at natapos ko maghapon hehe. For a change, I was able to resist tending to my Farmville.

↑Kilig kilig din pag may time. I tried looking for other books in several National Bookstore and Powerbooks branches to no avail. I’ll try the other branches.

I miss this kind of relaxation. I’ll try to read more books again, not just blogs.

I met up with a friend on Saturday evening for dinner. We ate at Gangnam Wings in SM Megmall. We ordered their chicken and beef bulgogi cheese fries. Ang sarappppp! Umulit kami ng order hihihi. No pictures sa sobrang gutom. It was my first proper meal that day eh hehehe.

I went with her after dinner to canvas for winter clothes as she and her officemates are off to Korea by the end of this month.

I also did some household chores. Some lang kasi di pa rin ako tapos.

I also went to the derma para sa kung anong anik-anik sa UA at fez.

And someone got too excited with all the year end sales at the mall. Too excited and was not able to resist hence she went home with some shopping bags hehehe. No regrets naman because I wanted all the items I got.

Ganito kasi yun. Sometime last year, I tried on some clothes in several shops. While I wanted those that I tried, I knew I won’t have the heart to buy them at regular prices kasi sobrang ang mamahal talaga hahaha!. And so I just tried to check out if those items are still around during this sale. At nandon sila! As in lahat ng bet ko noon. Naloka ako sa tuwa! Hahahaha!

I am not sure of the exact amount pero I think between Php 2,500-3,000 siguro.

I’ll do the same strategy again this year – fit potential buys and see if they are still available during sales. If yes and I was able to grab it, meant to be hehehehe.

Ok, enough about shopping. Susmio, first week of the year, gastos pinagkaabalahan ko hehehehe. But I have budget for that so I’m not worried.

Ok, the end for week 1. Hope you guys have a great week ahead.

2017 Week 1: Back to the Daily Grind

January 2-8, 2017

Ok, so the holidays are over and so we’re back to the daily grind.

I traveled back to Manila on January 2. Thank you, Lord for a safe trip that night.

Work was just picking up from what we all left when most of us went for that much needed break on the last week of December.

I met with my friend’s family on January 3. They are based in SG now and are here for a visit. We ate at Gangnam Wings at SM Megamall. The store is located at the strip, Mega A side. It specializes on Korean fried chicken.

Our orders:

Fried chicken. I liked the chicken. It’s crispy but not too oily.

Spicy seafood noodle but we requested a less spicy version.

Watermelon with soju. This was refreshing. Good thing they did not mix the soju so we had control on the amount of alcohol to add to the watermelon hehe.

Rock melon bingsu. Fresh fruit and ice cream. Winner!

My friend and I met up on Saturday to catch up on some of the MMFF movies. We watched Die Beautiful, Vince & Kath & James and Sunday Beauty Queen.

Paulo Ballesteros (Die Beautiful) would have been beautiful if he was a woman hehehe.

Vince & Kath & James was really for teens hahaha! It was also ok though. We enjoyed laughing at the crowd’s reactions. There were 2 groups who were quite loud. One is obviously rooting for Vince and the other one for James. While it can get irritating at times, we just had fun laughing at them because their reactions to some of the scenes can really be hilarious hehehe.

The most touching movie for me was Sunday Beauty Queen. This is a documentary about OFWs in Hong Kong. I have seen again that life is not really fair and it gets tough and tougher for some of us. Hence, we should always be thankful for all of our blessings, no matter how small these are.

I went to mass on Sunday and then to the mall as I need to replace some blouses and I was hoping to score some from the end of season sale. Mission accomplished as I was able to buy 3 blouses, which was my goal.

Next stop was the grocery for some supplies before going home.

The end.

Have a great week ahead.
